group music classes
Offerings
With over 15 years of early childhood music experience, Miss Rachel developed these group music classes with inspiration from Music Learning Theory, Kodaly, and Dalcroze music education methods. Students and their caregiver move, create, and express themselves musically in each class. Participants use shakers, scarves, rhythm sticks and more to find a steady beat and sing songs to discover their voices. Each child (or siblings for a family) must be accompanied by an adult for the entirety of the class. This not only helps engagement, but it also allows caregivers to learn and take the skills home during the week.
Mini Mozarts
…meet for 40 minutes and is for children who are walking independently up to 5 years old. We will stomp, sway, spin, and more to the music, so walking with confidence is important!
The caregiver will move with the child and help them with percussion instruments.
Siblings come at a discounted rate (siblings who cannot yet walk are free!)
Baby Bachs
…meet for 30 minutes and is for babies up until walking independently. We will learn songs with wiggles, bouncing, lullabies, and finger plays (think This Little Piggy Went to Market).
The caregiver will hold baby on their lap or while standing and moving to the music. Older babies are free to crawl and roll in the space - bringing your own blanket is highly recommended.
Siblings who are too old for this class are allowed on a case by case basis - email Miss Rachel before registration if this applies to you.
Birthday parties
…include 20-40 minutes of music, movement, and games tailored to the child’s age and interests. Themes include songs about nature, transportation, ballet, and animals. Specific pricing is available upon request.
